MOMS of BOTH, Inc. supports the call for limited defunding/reallocation of specific police jurisdictions with evidence of disproportionate and targeted treatment against people and communities of color. MOMS of BOTH, Inc. supports the calls for defunding of police when such defunding/reallocation provides additional revenue streams to community-based 501(c)3 designated programs in communities of color. These programs should enrich the relationship between the police and communities of color. MOMS of BOTH, Inc. does not support calls for defunding of police which provides cuts to the police force, which hampers access to fundamental tactical weaponry of mandates policy which blocks access to tactical upgrades by more than five years. MOMS of BOTH, Inc. supports peaceful protest against police brutality and police maltreatment of people and communities of color. MOMS of BOTH, Inc. supports the end of racial profiling as it is unjust and inhuman.
